AAIWO is an organization that is committed to helping women in need. Our Helpline phone number provides women in crisis free professional help from qualified consultants.

Calls are received from women in situations of domestic abuse, or women confused about immigration status or career changes. They receive information about their options and rights, which helps them to make decisions about their lives and future. All calls and information obtained is strictly confidential.

Helpline can provide callers with free professional help and further redirect them to resources available through state and private agencies. Helpline has a broad .network of volunteers who provide the support and help necessary to make this possible.

Help offered by AAIWO:

Support and Counseling - Trained volunteers guide you to get the help you need. All information is held in strict confidence.

Legal - Trained volunteers provide help in assessing your situation and see what choices you have with your current situation, including visa, immigration, divorce, child custody and other legal matters.

Financial- AAIWO might be able to provide you with some financial help to get you started on your road to recovery, after the volunteer assesses your situation.

Transportation - Volunteers of AAIWO will assess your situation and decide on the choices available to help you get to where you need to go.

Babysitting- Volunteers of AAIWO can assess your situation and decide on the best choices for help with child care, while you get your feet back on the ground.

Housing- Although AAIWO does not have a safe house, volunteers have assisted women in crisis in finding temporary, safe housing since 1981.

Other Help- As required, volunteers will assess your need and offer you appropriate guidance and choices for Financial, Childcare, Transportation and Training/Schooling assistance.
